My Style

My style is supportive and interactive, with the goal of empowering you to create change in your life. I believe that clients have innate strengths and capabilities and I strive to capitalize on and foster those. I see therapy as a process of putting together pieces of a puzzle and discerning patterns that are relational and multigenerational. Through thought provoking questions, my goal is to offer a different perspective and hold up a mirror to your life that will allow you to access your intrinsic resources.

As a therapist, I work collaboratively with you in a manner that fits your lifestyle and worldview. In addition, I strive to create a comfortable and inclusive environment in which to address your concerns, and am sensitive to issues of gender, sexual, religious, ethnic, racial, cultural, and political diversity.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is eclectic, and very much focused on your strengths. In the early stages of therapy, we will have an opportunity to speak about your goals and tailor the therapeutic process to suit those particular needs.

I draw primarily on the following methods of therapy:

  • Gottman Method Couple Therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Structural Family Therapy
  • Contextual Therapy
  • Solution Focused Therapy
